Everyone on the roads today understands the most basic principal of driving, a stoplight. Red, yellow and green are three colors that most middle school students could tell you what they represent. Intersections have recently added a new way to keep people safe. A green turn arrow represents that you are safe to turn and all pedestrians and cars are stopped. The newly added yellow turn arrow might mix up people behind the wheel. It has a similar meaning to the green turn arrow, however you must yield to oncoming traffic and pedestrians. This new fixture is now implemented in states across the country including, California, Wisconsin, Michigan and Florida. Next time you come across this, make sure you are doing what is asked to keep everyone safe.
